Women's Health
The National Cervical Screen Programme provides free Cervical Screening to women between the age of 25 and 65 years. Cervical Check aims to write to all women when their smear test is due. If you are unsure if you are due a test, or when you should attend for a test, please see the Cervical Check Programme website for further information
- New Recall Intervals:
- 3-year recall: for women aged 25 to 29.
- 5-year recall: for women aged 30 to 65.
- A 1-year recall was introduced for women who have tested positive for HPV but have no abnormal cells, to monitor them for a year before a further test.
